![]() UK prices are TBD, but AMD confirmed the flagship RX 7900 XTX will launch with an MSRP of $999, while the RX 7900 XT is set at $899. There’s a lot to chew on here, so let’s do just that, with all the newly announced Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX specs and availability deets. This new version of the FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaler will not only reduce the strain of rendering frames, but will likely add its own 'Fluid Motion Frames', in what looks like a direct challenge to Nvidia DLSS 3 and its AI frame generation tech. ![]() ![]() ![]() How exactly these two cards will perform in games remains to be (reliably) seen, though AMD also announced a helping hand in FSR 3. RDNA 3 uses a Ryzen CPU-inspired chiplet design, where the GPU is split up into different sections, and the new media engine is engineered for the 4K gaming monitors of the future as much as it is for current PC hardware. They’re also structurally distinct from the current Radeon RX 6000 cards to an extent that, frankly, is quite surprising to see from AMD GPUs. These are both high-end GPUs, set to cost $899 and $999 respectively when they release on December 13th, but you’ll note those prices are oodles cheaper than the £1269 / $11 and the £1679 / $15. We were impressed by its slightly less capable sibling, the AMD Radeon RX 6600.We finally have AMD’s answer to the Nvida RTX 40 series: the Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX, the red team’s first graphics cards build on the RDNA 3 architecture. The price is extremely attractive, and there are several smaller designs from hardware partners, which means the RX 6600 XT is also a good shout for those building a smaller gaming PC. This means you won't require too much in the form of additional cooling, and the RX 6600 XT shouldn't get too hot.ġ080p really is the limit for this card, though, in some games, you will be able to step up to 1440p. But that's not all, AMD managed to keep the power draw down considerably, rating the card at just 160W for TDP. ![]() We've got HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, a core clock speed of 2,359MHz, and a full 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM. This is a fantastic GPU at the lower end of the catalog from AMD with support for ray tracing - though whether you should enable it is an entirely different story. If all you require is a budget-friendly GPU that's both great for 1080p gaming and can easily fit inside smaller PC builds, look no further than the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. ![]()
